There's lots of information I could write about web hosting - and I will write more in the days to come ......... but I use Hostgator to host my websites and blogs. I have used Hostgator for the last 2 years or thereabouts and have been delighted with the service and support. I am based in the UK so if I ask for help (by logging a ticket, phone or a live chat system) it can be in the middle of the night and the response (that is solving the problem not just acknowledging the request) is frequently just a few minutes. This is real support - NOT an email acknowledging your query and a 24-48 response by which time you've probably had to find another way of solving the problem!
The list of features appears to include everything I want (databases - for Wordpress blogs, full cpanel, fantastico plus lots more). The contract period is normally just one month and there are frequently special offers available.
